Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Torus Palatinus is a harmless bony overgrowth and is mostly a painless condition and does not bother till growth large in size..

The inflammation and pain that you are experiencing is not due to bone but due to injury to the overlying soft tissue that is the mucosa.
It may have got traumatized by some hard food or burning with some hot food.

You need not to worry and you can suck on ice pops and go cold water gargles.
Apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the sore area for relief from pain and inflammation..
Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can be taken for relief from pain and reducing inflammation..
Avoid hot and spicy food..

In case if the problem is recurring then you should get the torus removed surgically by an Oral Surgeon..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
