What Is The Treatment For Tremor In The Right Side?

Hi, My husband has has shaking of right hand for many years which has worsened and some in the left now. This is usually during concentration when eating,playing computer or writing. Consultant gave it a name we cannot remember but daid it could be treated with beta blockers and was not Parkinson;s. Any ideas?
