What Is The Treatment For Uterine Polyps?

I just found out that I have a Uterine polyp, not sure if there is only one or if there are more than one. I am 48 years old and am having quite a few pre-menopause symptoms. I have been bleeding for 30 days with a 5 day break in between the 30 days. I am at my wits end and would like to know if a person can request to have a hysterectomy?
