What Is The Treatment For White Scaly Skin Of Lip?
I cut the top of my lip in the middle and after it healed, puffed out skin that looked white kept forming. When the skin becomes loose Ibite it off and this problem keeps occurring. I try to stop biting it but in the end the skin dangles so I have to. What can I do to stop this problem
As per your query you have symptoms of white scaly skin of lip which seems to be due to drooling of saliva and licking of lips with tongue which remove natural moisture of lips and make them cracked. It could also occur due to bacterial or fungal infection.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to: - Drink plenty of water and apply vitamin E oil at night - Apply lip balm throughout the day to retain moisture and apply lip balm having SPF 30 - Eat green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits.
If condition persists for more than a week or get worse consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis so that doctor can rule out any infection.Doctor may prescribe oral/topical antibiotics or anti fungal depending upon the condition.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
