My adult son had a CT scan with contrast (iodine injection I believe). Apprx 18 hours later, he was exposed to the sun on the water for about 8 hours. He has extreme sunburn, which he normally does not experience with proper sun screen application. Could he have had a reaction due to the iodine injection?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I could say that after the Iodine injection and gone into the sun and experience burn due to iodine is very unlikely, if this is sun burn then this can be managed on conventional basis and no need to worry about this, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
