What Is The Treatment To Reduce Swelling Caused By A Bump Between My Eyebrows?

I have a bump between my eyebrows that is very swollen. I thought it was a pimple so i tried to pop it. It didn't pop though. So I popped it with a sterile needle to help get whatever was in there out. When I squeezed it out, there was blood & clear liquid. I have no idea what this is & really can't afford to go see a doctor right now. Bad pimple, cyst or a boil are all I can think of that it could be. I have never had a boil before. I do have a cyst that is clearing up on my hip. But it came to a head, this however is not. What can I do to reduce the swelling? I tried hot compresses & that didn't work. So now I am trying ice.

Hello,
There are many causes for lump between eye brows.
Few important and common causes are
1. Folliculitis
2. Infected sebaceous cyst
3. Acne
4. lipoma

Without clinically examining the lump and determining the exact size, shape, appearance and consistency of lump it may be difficult for me to determine the exact cause.
If you have headachess, vision difficulties and weight loss then in that case forehead lump can signify serious problems like cancer or malignancy.
It is best to get the lump seen by a dermatologist and clarify your doubts.
If he suspects, it to be due to infection, he may prescribe you some topical and oral antibiotics.
If it is due to sebaceous cyst, he may excise the cyst.
Till then, take care of the pierced lump by maintaining the good personal hygiene.
wash the wound with warm water and clean with sterile cotton gauze pad.
