Black patch (Pigment) has developed just above the left chin. It has darkened the face. This happened 2 years back. What is treatment to remove the patch. Moreover I will not use any cosmetic over my face including talcum. I tried Sun Screen for few months, but No result...

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

If I was your treating doctor I would have advised you to use a cream containing one or more of the lightening agents: Kojic acid, Hydroquinone, Glycolic acid, Arbutin or Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate etc

Along with

A broad spectrum sunscreen throughout the day, specially the one which offers protection against both UVB and UVA.


An oral Vitamin C supplement once daily would also help to lighten it faster.

You can also opt for Glycolic peeling session from a dermatologist.
