What Is The Use Of Misoprostol Tablets?

I'm having a biopsy of the uterus and I'm required to insert misoprostol tablets 5 hours before my procedure. I'm wondering exactly what this drug will do? Also this is a repeat test as they had trouble the first time and because I know the pain I expereinced then which was unbleievable would you recommend that I take tylenol one hour prior to help ease the pain - thanking you in advance.
