hi im male 24 from india ....my doctor prescribed me levofloxacin tablets ..im not suffering from any severe bacterial infection ,i just had a headache..bp is normal...sugar is ok ..checked everything...... i dint take levofloxacin tablets ...should i take it..please reply me immediately thanks in advance

I think your doctor has prescribed it on the basis of some infection assciated with your headache problem , it would be better to ask him and take the medicine.

If there is no infection then there is no need to have it. But if there is minor or severe infection then no harm. when there is no fever etc and headache has some other minor cause you can opt for other analgesics. Have head massage and feel fresh.

Levofloxacin is a flouroquinolone and a higher antibiotic .If it has been prescribed by your doctor there should be some reason why he did it.You said you had a headache please tell whether you have sinusitis or was he suspecting some infection .You can ask him as to why it is necessary ;if you get a proper reason & explaination then may be you can have it.
