What Is The Vaginal Bleeding In A 79 Year Old?

Hi, my mother is 72 years old and started having vaginal bleeding. I wanted to know what could be some of the reasons this could be happening. She thinks her menstrual has started back, but I didn't think that was possible and I'm worried it could be something more serious.
