Ulcer is breach in continuity of a surface lining. If it is in skin, it could be due to trauma, infection, malignancy, burns etc. If in stomach, agin benigh or malignant.

HI... Ulcer is break in the continuity of mucosa , skin or membrane... to look it will seem to be circular to oval shape , it has border, margin, floor, base... Depending on the margin ulcer is classified in to 5 types... for more details , you can study the Bailey and love short practice of surgery..
