What Is Use Of Taking Pause 500 During Pregnancy?

hi .. i am 30 yrs old and i was into 8th week of pregnancy but the sonography showed no heart beat. I started bleeding from 22nd may (last sunday). My doctor says take pause 500. Why have i been asked to take this. I took 1 pill yesterday and the bleeding stopped. Now what will happen? shouldnt the normal bleeding happen to remove the unwanted blood ?
