What It Means When There Is No Presence Of Fetus In Sonogram During 3-5 Week Pregnancy?
Hi my girlfriend is between 3-5 weeks pregnant...this past thursday she had a sonogram and we seen the sac but couldnt see the fetus...last night when she went to use the bathroom a thin clear fluid dripped out....about 15 minutes later the same clear fluid came out right after having sex...we went to the emergency room and they took urine samples which showed negative results of infection...they didnt give us any direct answers...can u give me some insight or feed back anyone please?
Hi, I have gone through your question. At such an early pregnancy of 3-5 weeks, fetus is not visible in the ultrasound, only the gestational sac will be visible, as in your case. The fetus will be visible after approximately 2 weeks. The clear vaginal secretion she is having is due to the pregnancy in which there is increased vaginal and cervical secretion under the effect of hormones I would suggest you to get her repeat ultrasound after 2 weeks to confirm the viability of pregnancy. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
