What Kind Of Doctor To Visit For Fatigue In Upper Legs?

My Mom is 73 yrs old. She is complaining about her upper legs feeling fatigued. She said she backed off some of her BP meds (they have her on 2 different kinds). She has tracked her BP and no changes and says her ankles aren t swollen like they were and her legs seem to be somewhat better. She sees a gastroenterologist as a family dr. I have been encouraging her to see a a cardiologist or someone who specializes in blood vessels. She is convinced (but I m not) that it has something to do with having her legs stripped years ago (late 20 s or early 30 s) for vericose veins. So, I guess my question is...what kind of dr should I be taking her to?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello, the varicose vein surgery which your mother had might not cause the weakness and fatigue of the upper leg. she must be physically examined and if needed has to go with some blood tests to fins the exact cause. It is better to consult a general physician first. He will guide you with this issue.
