What Leads To A Discharge From The Eyes?

my son has discharge coming out of the corners of his eyes..he is 2 and his eyes have seemed watery and he has been rubbing them and they are crusty from the "sleep" coming out of the corners.. is it something i need to be concerned over? pink eye..etc..

it appears to be discharge of nasolacrimal duct due to partial blockage it is retrograde discharge. antibiotic drop like ofloxacin.3% eye drop 6hourly, neosporine eye ointment to be applied at bed time. clean the discharge ina sterile swab and can give mild warm compression he should improve in one week time.
