Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m 48yr female, 5 2 and size 2. I exercise daily by walking at my job, and have two grown children that are out of the house. I have a stress job but manage it well, and drink two cups of coffee in the a.m. I just had an upper scope for my barretts (diagnosed 2005) - no redness now or visible barretts but biopsy show it still, and stomach was very inflamed. Doc said it doesn t look like aspirin damage, but more like prilosec is not working. h pylori came back negative, am doing a stool sample test now for h pylori .what could this be?

What Leads To Inflammation Of Stomach?
Hello and welcome. Could be hyper acidity either from the prisolec not working, increased levels of stress leading to increased acid production, and a few other factors. But I cannot be sure without a more elaborate evaluation. Best wishes.
