What Leads To Nausea And Vomiting?

Hi I m 53 and recently have had a couple of events where I have started to feel very nauseous and lightheaded then have vomited. I come good a little while after I vomit . First event was just at my desk while at work and then second one was about couple weeks later while I was sitting on my horse at a a show. Never has happened to me before and I rarely ever get sick.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Dizziness or light headed feeling could be caused due to abnormal blood pressure, blood sugar or nutritional deficiency, inner ear disorders affecting body balance and rarely neurological disorders. I would suggest you to check your BP, blood glucose and complete blood counts to rule out anemia or other abnormalities. ECG, audiogram, X-ray (neck) and CT scan (brain) may be required if above tests are normal.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
