What Looks Like Cyst With No Pus In It But Area Around It Is Swollen?

I just had what I thought was a cyst or large zit on my groin appear yesterday. I get them not often. I tried hard to pop it and it never did. It caused some swelling and it is open with no pus or other type of drainage. The area around the pimple like wound is swollen and does cover a decent size area but I feel it has receeded a little. Any idea on what it might be

Hi.
As per your case history you are having a sebaceous cyst.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Only curative treatment is excision under local anesthesia done by a dermato-surgeon.
