What Makes One Bite Their Lip Post Methamphetamine Intake?

After I tried meth which I don’t plan on doing again I noticed I was biting my lip but it was already too late. I sorta bit it and there is the slice in it on my upper lip. How was I unaware I was doing Gus to myself ?? My whole mouth hurts really bad.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Use is associated with increased muscle tone and fidgeting (hence the term "tweaking"). Without an exam, I can only give general information, and there can also be an infection if there is an open cut.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

The drug causes increased muscle tone and spasm. This is quite common which is why there was a fad of wearing pacifiers to prevent the effects of meth on the teeth, lips, and gums.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
