What Makes The Epiglottis To Stick Out From Mouth?

Hi I noticed my 18 month old daughter's epiglottis sticks out when she opens her mouth and yells, she is healthy otherwise. She does say "Im hungry" quite often, even after she eats...wondering if eating makes the discomfort go away? Thanks for any help.

Hi thank for asking to HCM.
Your daughter is normal , in children larynx is above as compare to adult as age progress it goes down. Small children grow faster so need multiple small feeds since stomach is small.
Hope this information helpful to you, take care and have a nice day.
