What Makes The Eye Sensitive To Light And Cause Irritation?

I slept in my contacts last night & now my left eye is sensitive to light & a little irritated. It wasnt red until I went outside & the light made it water. Do I need to see a doctor immediately or could it possibly just be irritated from the contacts? I took them out by the way

Hello
It seems from the history that you slept with contact lens and now you are having irritation and eyes are sensitive to light.
The cause may be because of damage to cornea as a result of contact lenses.
The first treatment is to stop using the contact lenses, which you have done.
The specific treatment is by use of antibiotic eye drops and artificial tear eye drops.
Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for prescription of drugs and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
