What Medical Condition Causes A Yellow And Crusty Pimple Under The Breast?

Last week I noticed a pimple under my nipple on my right breast . The top was very red . Today I had another look and saw that the top was yellow and crusty . I tried popping it , and the head broke with no force . Yellow oil like puss started flowing out followed by blood . Now it’s oozing a bit of the yellow oil and blood . It also looks like a hole . It wasn’t annoying me or hurting me at all . Only when I squeezed it , it hurt . I don’t know what it is or what to do

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

I think it was a furuncle or localised abscess which you popped out. If it is not hurting you and there is no fever, I do not think you need to do anything.

In case there is fever or local increasing tenderness seeing a doctor is warranted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar, Psychiatrist
