What Medications Are Suggested For Crusty White Scabs On Scalp?
my nine year old son has a few crusty white scabs on his scalp. they are painful and very dry. I don t know how he got them and I don t know what to do to get rid of them. they are about the size of a penny. they are on the very top of his head. they do not itch.

White scabs in school age children are commonly caused by fungi, This is called tinea capititis. Treatment is a combination of local antifungal creams like miconazole and oral griseofulvin for 6weeks. I will like that you get him examined by a pediatrician for confirmation and drugs prescriptions.
