What Medications Other Than Steroids Can Be Given To A 5 Month Old Child To Get Relief From Itching And Eczema ?

i am a medical student, my 5 month old boy, living in Minnesota , USA. diagnosed of having eczema all over his body and head as well (excluding the diaper area). Prescribed to put -Desonide 0.05% , on the face -Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% , on the body. but i want to avoid steroids. to help relieve his itching, can i use Calamine lotion on him? what else (other than steroids) can i put on him to help the itching and eczema as a whole?
