What Might Be The Problem If Having Ammonia Smell, Itching All Over And Wetness In Anus?

I ve been reading about ammonia smell in the nose. it s happening 24/7. I started having the problem in 1987. it was slight then but is 20x worse now. other symptoms are some itching and feeling like skin is burning all over plus every time I have a bowel movement , it feels like i m wearing wet pants for about and hour. what might be the problem?

Hi,
I have read your query & understood your problem.
The itching & burning/ammonia smell around anus you have may be from-
- sweating followed by itching ( due to over weight,making approximation of buttocks )/ leaking anus may lead to wetness of anus.
- constipation due to stretching of anus/thread worm infestation/irritable bowel syndrome result in an irritation of rectal mucosa,itching,wetting of the part.
- secondary infection of scratched/irritated anus gives rise to smell like ammonia.
* To pin point the cause & the treatment accordingly,you need to consult your doctor for examination/investigations/advice of specific treatment.
