Hello,
Yawning can cause premature beats, that may be felt as flutter or palpitations. Stretch exercises, heavy physical exercises can also cause palpitation. Electrolyte abnormalities, hormonal changes, mood changes or certain medications can cause palpitations.
Arrhythmia and heart problems are conditions that can cause palpitations.
Avoid the use of caffeine,
nicotine, narcotics, alcohol, and drugs. Avoid doing exhaustive or strenuous exercises. Stay adequately hydrated. Follow the right
diet plan that is good for the heart. Take home-made nutritious food. Take veggies, berries, fruits & well-cooked whole cereals. Take lean meat & food rich in omega 3 fatty acid. Avoid taking refined flour,
trans fat, full fat dairy products, red meat, and food that are not good for the heart health.
Do regular exercise under a Physical therapist. Do regular walking but do not exhaust yourself. Get routine cardiac tests done since you are complaining of
dizziness. Dizziness is sometimes indicative of developing CAD.
Dizziness can also be due to
dehydration,
electrolyte imbalance, middle ear problem, anemia, poor general health condition. Take adequate sleep & get clinically examined by an ENT to rule out vertigo or any other ear pathology. Since you are having dizziness, you are suggested to stay at rest, avoid doing heavy work, do not drive. Do deep breathing exercises to get rid of anxiety and stress.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
