What New Medication Is Available Other Than Topamax For Migraine?

are there any new medications for migraines..i am on topomax now and it seems to be working fine for me,,i only get the auro and no headache now,,so i cant complain,,i am 77 yrs young..i used to get violent headaches but now i will settle for the aura and no headache..,my friend gets violent headaches and no aura ..altho sometimes....she lives in sarasota as i live in boca now...any new drs or meds for her to take,..topomax didnt agree with her..i am on 20 mg..and it is great for me

Following advises will help you for migraine:
Tablet containing opioids like tramadol and glucocorticoids like prednisolone
You can put ice pack on head.
Stay hydrated
eat healthy diet.

Life style changes should be done as below
1. Enough sleep
2. Muscle relaxation exercise
3. Rest and relaxation
4. Keep headache diary: Identify trigger factor and which treatment is effective
Alternate therapy:
Acupuncture therapy
Massage and music therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Vitamin B-2 and CO Q can be useful in relieving pain.
