Hello and welcome to HCM,
Keratinocytes are cells present in the epidermis of skin.
The function of keratinocytes is to secrete keratin.
These cells provide protection and maintain homeostasis of the underlying structures.
The most important organelle responsible for function of the keratinocytes is the cytoskeleton called cytokeratin (CK).
Cytokeratin is present in the cytoplasm of keratinocytes.
