What Precaution Should Be Taken To Stop Smelly Ear Discharge?
I ve been twiced diagnosed with smimmers ear & have had oral antibiotics once and steroid drops twice in a few months. Its only gotten worse and worse. For several weeks there s been a constant leak soaking a cotten ball every few hours. The fluid is clear but smells strongly of ammonia. A horrible unnatural smell. I have an ent appointment but couldn t get it before two weeks from now. What could it be possibly?

As you have ear discharge with bad smell from several weeks, so it may be chronic suppurative otitis media.
Kindly take tab. amoxicillin and clavulanic acid for 4 weeks, Tab, brufen for pain, ear drops containing tobramycin.
Kindly don't do ear piercing. Keep it clean. Maintain proper hydration. Take steam inhalation.
