What Precautions Are Advisable For A Person With A VP Shunt For Hydrocephalus?

with a vp shunt for hydrocephalus at birth, are there any activity restrictions? my client states she was told not to lift anything too heavy. Currently, she broke her ankle and must use a 2 wheeled walker to avoid weight bearing through her fractured ankle. She says she can t because she is not allowed to do this due to the VP shunt when she was an infant. She is late 50s now.
