Hi,

You are suffering from fatty liver and on medications prescribed by your doctor. Continue taking the medications as prescribed. Apart from that I would advise you to have certain lifestyle changes such as:

1. Avoid smoking & alcohol (if you are smoking/consuming), fatty meals, fast and junk foods, fried french fries and other oily foods.

2. Increase the intake of fruits, fresh vegetables, and sprouted grains

3. Increase the intake of lean meat, poultry, and fish

4. Do regular exercise, try to lose bodyweight if you are obese.

5. Avoid certain medications, such as paracetamol and aspirin.

It may take about 4-6 months to recover from the disease provided you strictly adhere to medications and lifestyle changes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
