What Precautions Are Needed Post Heart Failure Surgery?

Hi

My hisband has had Stage 3 Heart Failure for 2 years now. (He takes blood pressure medication, diuretics, potassium, warfarin)) - 20% heart function with a large lining clot.

He has his good days & bad days, but he seems to be getting more tired and is doing less each day as he does not have the energy - now he says he is too tired to eat - he does not want to go to hospital as he says there is nothing they can do for him. Should I insist on taking him or just keep an eye on him?

Please help

Many thanks

Dear Mrs,

Stage 3 heart failure is not the end.
You should insist your husband to take the medication and visit his doctor regularly.
And also he can undergo screening for depression, which is very common in advanced heart failure patients.
Treatment of depression improves the prognosis and quality of life.

I hope I could help you
