What Precautions Need To Be Taken For High Heart Rate Of Fetus ?
My wife was 36 weeks pregnant and she have had an impeccable pregnancy and she was going for a routine checkup at the beginning of the 9th month when the doctor told her the baby had very high heartbeats (300 per minute) and that he has already started to be filled with water in the organs so the doctor suggested to do a C section and pull out the baby immediately and to reanimate him.. which he did but the baby couldn't resist more than 30 minutes and then he died.. The doctor said the morphology of the heart was normal and my wife didn't take any medications and didn't have any infections.. I am just wondering could this happen suddenly and for no reason as the doctor said?? What are the chances that this might happen again? Thank you
Hello dear I UNDERSTAND YOUR PROBLEM.There are different reasons of fetal arrythmias during pregnancy..It could be due to maternal conditions like anxiety, stress, infections, drug or caffeine intake Or fetal conditions like fetal distress, infections or structural abnormality or it can be transient. And as you mentioning that water started to be filled in the organs so it could be hydrops due to isoimmunization or nonimmune causes. So in next pregnancy can have regular antenatal checkups with screening with fetal echocardiography at 24 weeks and strict fetal monitoring at least 2 weeks prior than the present gestation at which delivery occured. Thanking you
