What Precautions Need To Be Taken Post Polyp Removal From Cervix?

I am in my mid- 50 s and have always had a normal annual exam. Today, when I went in, my doctor found a very small polyp on my cervix which she removed. She said it isn t a big concern, however am wanting a second opinion. I am otherwise, very healthy. Please advise

Hello and welcome.

Yes, the polyp is no big issue and can occur quite often and be benign. I would although, want to send the polyp tissue sample to the laboratory to rule out any serious issues. Once a normal benign report is returned from the laboratory, you can put this whole thing behind you.
