What Precautions Need To Be Taken To Avoid Herpes After Having Sexual Activity?
hello,my boyfriend and i had sex and i did not know that at the time i had a yeast infection. so, i gave him a yeast infection which set off his staph infection. we thought his yeast infection went away but now his symptoms have gotten worse. he is constantly itchy, he has very red and dry skin, his foreskin is swollen and itchy. i have been diagnosed with herpes. I am afraid that i might have passed it to him and it has been dormant until all of these infections happened. i thought i was being careful. i take medication every day.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Yes, you are right that herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD), which has to be taken care of during sexual intercourse. You can avoid it by direct contact with skin, esspecially at wet or moist areas like genitals, anus and oral cavity. To protect yourself from encountering it in genital area, ask your partner to use condoms. It not only protects against sexually transmitted diseases, but also against pregnancy. Next time, take these precautions so that you will be free of these worries. All the best.
