What Precautions Should Be Taken After Undergoing Hysterectomy?

my mother who is 45+ yrs of age is going to have her uretus removed day after tomorrow,she was having a cyst in her letf ovary but that got subsided long back but the doc say's if reqd her left ovary will be aslo removed???
may i plz know what are the precautions that she has to take post surgery as she is a ploice officer???
