What Precautions Should Be Taken During Premenopausal Period?

Hi m a 44 year old woman. I had skipped two months of my periods then got it for a month then again skipped a period for a month again. Now I m due my period like for more than a month. I guess its the beginning of Menopause. Will I get my periods or will it stop totally. What precautions should I take. I have begun Menopace given by my Doctor including calcium supplements. Other than this what other advice. And yeah my sleep pattern is changing. I love to sleep it s my beauty secret. And I need a full seven to eight hours of sleep. Now I sleep for six hours only but m not satisfied. How can I sleep better.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
A usual menstrual span is roughly 30 years. It alsodepends on family history.
So yes if you had started your menses when you were 15.. / your mother had6 her menopause around 45 years...you may get menopause in feww years ( usuallt the irregulariry goes on for 1-3 years.)
precaustions to be taken... starthaving a healthy life style with optimum calory diet with proteins ,salads, fruits /regular exercises for 45 minutes a day/ optimum sound sleep for 8 hours .
use yoganidra audio cassette .
Avoid excess weight gain/ learn psychological concentration exercises/ geteegular medical check up regularly for early diagnosis / prevention of health problems.
Use of contraceptives is important these days also.
Thanks.
