What Precautions Should Be Taken For Low Lying Placenta?
Hi I am 18 weeks pregnant. I done my Ultrasound. Doc says it is "Placenta is posterior low lying reaching to margin IO" BPD-39mm, FL-26mm, AC-120mm, HC-150. What precaution should i take? Is this low lying placenta itself goes up? Does it impact delivery(normal or surgery)?
USG findings suggests Placenta is situated in posterior wall of the uterus and it is touching the internal os.
There are maximum chances of further migration of placenta as you have early pregnancy. In most of the cases,it moves away of internal os with advancement of pregnancy. Patient should have follow up scan to detect the shift of placenta. Patient should avoid strenuous activity and take adequate rest.
It is too early to comment on mode of discovery,it depend upon many things.
Hope iI have answered your query. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
