What Precautions Should Be Taken For The Pain In The Toes?

A little over 3 weeks ago I broke the 3 middle Metatarso's, I had a splint on for a week now I have an Aircast.
I feel not pain exept for Muscle pain around my toes not where the bones where broken. but as of last week I have been taking my cast off and moving my toes and foot to get the muscles going (I could not even move my toes before that.) I still keep it in the cast 90% of the time but the other 10% i try to move my foot around cause I can not stand to have it imobile, the cast is supost to be on for 6 weeks total.

Is this a bad thing?
should I not move my foot at all and keep it in the cast all time time?
Can I keep doing foot exercises to start PT early like write the alphabet with my foot in the air?

Thanks
