What Precautions Should Be Taken While Suffering With Low Lying And Thick Placenta?

Hi! I m 21weeks pregnant .its my second baby. I have been diagnosed with thick placenta (approx. 2.9cm) and type 1 low lying placenta previc(approx.3. 4 cm) Though my weight gain and baby s growth is fine so far.I ve urniary infection. My first baby is pre mature delivery. Nw what are the implications of thick placenta and low lying placenta and what precautions should i take.what are the complications..

Hi, I think you should take bed rest and avoid work. If you have any sort of spotting or bleeding per vagina, meet a doctor urgently. Your placenta is low lying but in majority it moves upwards. So get a scan done after 1 month. You can confirm it then. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any other query I will be happy to help you.
