What Precautions Should Be Taken While Travelling During Pregnancy?

Hi, I m 8.5 weeks pregnant. Just heard the heartbeat of the foetus yesterday. Am bound for travel this weekend and the doc has given me Duphaston. I wonder if it s necessary as I am not keen to take any sort of drugs. I read bout the side effects of Duphaston, ie nausea and all. At the moment, I have very lil, close to no morning sickness/nausea at all. Its a short 2 hr flight, for a week, and then another flight back. Are there any other precautions that I can take apart from Duphaston?

Thanks for posting your concern regarding the precautions while travelling.

Generally, travelling does not cause a concern throughout most of your pregnancy. However,

Even though you seem to be not having morning sickness, but pregnancy can increase your sensitivity to motion sickness, take care in case if your nausea or vomiting during take off and landing of your flight.
You should not travel after your seventh month
Take along something to drink try not to get cramped into one position for a long time
Be familiar with potentially harmful foods during pregnancy and drink bottled water.
And of course your doctor has already prescribed Duphastan for normal maintenance of pregnancy.

Wishing you a happy n safe journey, Insha Allah!
Regards!
