What Precautions To Be Taken After D&C?

hi doctor my name is raina ..my age is 28..height 5'3" weight 66
i had a d & c process because of some missed abortion..after 15 days of d & c yesterday my doctor found in ultrasound that some little part of 11mm is still in my womb then she gave me medicines for medical abortion but i did not bleed..so now she gave me SANDOZ 5 mg for 2 weeks and say me to wait for next period cycle ..she says leftover will expail in that period.....
DOCTOR I DONT WANNA GO FOR D & C AGAIN
IS IT CORRECT TREATMENT????????????

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. You have some retained products as per the sonogram report, and these should have been expelled after the medication. It remains to be seen if they get expelled spontaneously during your next menstrual cycle as the whole endometrium is shed. If not, after another sonogram through the trans-vaginal route, you may need to have an ultrasound-guided exploration to remove the products. Most often, the products get expelled, so, hope for the best. Please maintain proper genital hygiene and take precautions meanwhile against conception. Hope this helps.
