What Prenatal Vitamins Can Be Taken While Trying To Conceive?

I am a 27 year old married female. My husband and I are planning to try for a baby from next month. I was advised by my obgyn to take folic acid 5mg. Can you prescribe prenatal vitamins other than folic acid to take? I am also anaemic and have dysmenorrhoea and migraine. Can you suggest some vitamin supplements for my husband also?

Hi,

The only thing that is needed to be started before pregnancy and for at least 3 mi the is folic acid.

Besides this, you can take any oral multivitamins socially that contain iron as more iron is needed during pregnancy.

No parental vitamins are needed. I would also suggest taking some calcium as well.

If your blood was low you should check it again as if still low you may need iron as well. Similarly, your husband can take any supplements though none is necessary for a normal person.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
