Went to hospital 2 days ago with with choking from lamb bone. Almost passed out. Was put on oxygen and drip. Had xray, only found patches where the bone had lodged. ENT checked through nose and found nothing. Breathing okay now but have a terrible cough and still can taste the curry lamb on the bone. Chest soar. I am 67yrs old and healthy.
As choking had occured aspiration of food could be the reason for soreness in chest.Irritation of upper aero digestive tract with the food/bone can also cause cough, bitter taste, regurgitation.Take a proton pump inhibitor, avoid spicy/cold drinks, antibiotics might be needed after consulting your doctor.
