What Quantity Of Prenatal Vitamins Is Recommended To Elderly Person?

I have been taking prenatal vitamins for 2 weeks. I am 61 years old, I thought it would help my nails and hair. Then I read where too much iron is toxic and these vitamins have 28mg, at my age the recommended is 4mg. I am frightened that I have overdosed.

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

First of all you should not worry as iron taken in large dose can be toxic, if taken or long periods or kidneys are not working properly.
I would suggest you to take a healthy diet full of vitamins & minerals such as green leafy vegetables, citrous fruits, apples, whole grains, fish, etc in place of supplements. Hair loss & greying in elderly age is normal & nothing much can be done. Have a daily walk or light exercise. Maintain hygeine.

Hoping your query is solved
Good luck
