What Relieves The Pain And Swelling On The Toe?

The other day I was carrying a sharp pair of tweezers and dropped them on my big toe. It pierced my big toe near the middle joint. Bled a little till it stopped. The next day it looked reddish and swelled up. Everytime I stand up it feels like all the blood in my body is rushing to that toe. What do I do?
