What Remedy Is Suggested For Sore Eyes In Children?
My son is 6 years old and is complaining of sore eyes, rubbing them and blinking a lot. We moved back to Sydney last week after living in New York City for 3 years, and it started about 2 days after moving home. He is also complaining occasionally of a sore stomach, but it's his eyes that are causing the most trouble. In New York we lived in an apartment in the city, here in Sydney we are in a fairly bushy area with a backyard. Could it be allergens and things like grass, and is there anything we could do to help him? They are not red or swollen at all.
If it is red eye with itching and no purulent discharge then it can be allergic conjunctivitis. Give him half tablet levocetrizine twice daily. apply comal eye drop two times daily. the child will be alright within one week.
