Hello,
Sometimes
implantation happens later than usual, and urine HPTs stay negative for a while. A
blood test for β-hCG is more sensitive than a urine test and can detect
pregnancy earlier and more reliably. Get a blood test done for β-hCG. If a negative report is obtained, then it can be due to stress, travel, illness, or even trying for pregnancy, can affect hormones and delay ovulation/periods.
Thyroid imbalance, PCOS, elevated
prolactin, or perimenopausal changes can also cause delays in periods. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist; you will be recommended to do a USG to confirm pregnancy. If you are not pregnant, then your treating gynecologist will do hormone tests and evaluate for delay in periods.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
