Hello,
This can be indicative of vascular damage or clotting (loss of blood flow to the fingers). It can be indicative of infection,
nerve damage or pressure buildup cutting off circulation and damaging tissue. In case there is an infection or circulation problem, delayed treatment can lead to permanent damage or
amputation. Go to ER without losing time, get clinically examined.
Tell the doctor about
Methamphetamine use, so that treatment can be started without delay. Nerve compression or mild infection will improve with treatment. If it's nerve death, tissue death, or severe infection, the damage could be permanent without immediate care, so get clinically examined. Do not lose time.
You will be evaluated for vascular (blood flow) damage. You will be asked for a few blood tests, or even imaging tests if required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
