What Should I Do About Painful Ear Infection That S Causing Blocked Hearing And Green Discharge?
Hi, I m a 33 year old man who has ear infection, it is painful I ve tried a lot of things, but nothing seems to work. My left ear is blocked and loosing my earing by the day, nothing can go inside the ear ear drop and drip doesn t work. There s water like green stuff coming out. Please help, how can I cure this?
It sounds like you have a severe ear infection, possibly a bacterial infection, as you are having green discharge and blocked hearing. Get clinically examined by an ENT to detect infection (AOM, CSOM, etc.), wax, or eardrum rupture. To get relief from pain and to reduce inflammation, you can take acetaminophen, one stat after food.
You can take antibiotics (oral or ear drops) to treat the infection, as there’s green discharge. Do not put any cotton swabs, fingers, or anything else inside the ears. This could worsen the infection or push discharge deeper. Avoid exposure to water (no swimming or submerging your ear in water). Be careful while taking a shower. Apply a warm compress to your ear for pain relief.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
